As well as growing and managing poplar plantations the Poplar Tree Company is actively researching and developing new and existing outlets for poplar timber. Last year sales were over 3500 tons of Poplar from all over the UK

The Poplar Tree Company has increased sales of poplar timber year on year and with the new facilities along with increased demand from Certainly Wood we expect this to continue. This is both in low value thinnings and final crop timber. As shown in the pictures below we have been producing board with several different treatments.

We are testing several areas of the UK market in construction development and biofuel uses.

We can offer poplar in the round, square sawn or as firewood or kindling.

Trials and market research with Biomass production are moving on well. At the South West Grassland event the Poplar Tree Co demonstrated poplar timber chipping with the New Holland forager.
